Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine

Dr. Susan D’Orazio, DOMDr. Susan D’Orazio, DOM, Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM) is a Florida State licensed and nationally board certified Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Oriental Medicine. She studied biology and chemistry at the University of Kentucky before attending East West College of Natural Medicine, completing her M.S. in Oriental Medicine in 2004. Her post-graduate training includes Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy, functional medicine, and advanced TCM training for the treatment of Chronic Diseases, most of which was completed at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, Division of Complementary and Integrative Medicine.

In addition to her practice, Dr. D’Orazio has taught many courses in acupuncture, Chinese herbal theory and formulas, and radiology at East West College of Natural Medicine.

Dr. D’Orazio provides patients with individualized care emphasizing the importance of treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. Modalities such as Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Therapy, and Injection Therapy are just a few of the tools that Dr. D’Orazio utilizes to treat many types of conditions. When not in the office, Dr. D’Orazio enjoys spending her time with her two daughters, Olivia and Sophia, and her husband, Joe. They have resided in Florida since 2000 and moved to Lakewood Ranch in 2006. Her interests include cooking, shelling, fishing, all water sports and she is a huge fan of the UNC Tarheels.
